Private Yoga Instruction and Therapy

Many individuals have needs that are not met by group classes.
Yoga Therapy is tailored to your specific needs.

We begin with your goal; with which we move towards in intelligent, orderly steps.
Since no two individuals are identical, the starting point of each person will be different, even though the goals may be the same. Caroline takes into account each individual’s starting point, specific characteristics, what is currently happening in your life, body, and environment, and thereby accurately determines the best route for you to reach your goal through Yoga.

45-60 minute consultations include a written practice plan & anxiety reducing breathing exercises; and can include meditation techniques & philosophical handouts; depending on your goal.

Here are a few reasons to choose Private Sessions:

  1. Practicing at home is a more affordable way of practicing yoga.
  2. You want to get started in yoga, but without being overwhelmed or intimidated.
  3. You have injuries (back, knee, shoulder, etc...) that you would like to address.
  4. Specific health concerns:
  5. Home Practice Development: current students working towards a specific goal such as increased flexibility, balance, strength; or even chanting, pranayama, & meditation.
  6. You want to add yoga to your current exercise program.

Caroline recommends a minimum of six sessions. In the first private session we discuss your symptoms and goals as well as gain insight into your current abilities of movement and breath. In your second session Caroline designs a program to do at home with specific yoga postures that address your specific needs. The next session will fine-tune the postures and breathing and add appropriate postures to encourage your progress. Follow-up sessions are available weekly, monthly or even yearly as is appropriate given your proximity and individual situation. Many students have a workable plan after 6-12 sessions. Others prefer to continue working one-on-one with Caroline indefinitely. Private instructional locations may be at the Yoga RX studio, but are also available in your home or office.

Private Session Charges
  • One hour yoga therapy session at Yoga RX, $60
  • One hour yoga therapy session at remote location, $75 (under 10 miles)
  • Package discounts are available for 6 or more sessions
  • Corporate yoga classes: $100 per hour
You can also sign up for semi-private sessions or small group classes. Call for estimates.
