“The ancient science of yoga is a philosophy and practical psychology. It describes a clear and certain path to a focused mind, and provides effective practices to walk that path.” A.G. Mohan
We can find peace of mind by examining and changing patterns of thoughts to move from a distracted mind to a focused mind.
Yoga Psychology along with yoga therapy offers a systematic approach to all aspects of health. A philosophy session with Caroline introduces you to incorporating the yoga sutras of Patanjali; regarding the 8 limbs of yoga, and other means to balance out the kleshas (mental afflictions) in our lives.
“Yoga is the process of changing a wandering mind into a centered one, a waning mind into a contented one, a self-indulging mind into a self-fulfilling one.” A.G. Mohan, 1993
With a disorder such as anorexia or depression we examine not only the mind, but:
- Individual lifestyle & Personality - habits, society, living environment
- Physical health – body, breath, food, behavior of senses
-
Chanting might also can improve your mood.
